Bank errors 103 and 310 are very common QuickBooks errors. Banking Error 103 means that the financial institution’s website does not accept the login credentials entered into QuickBooks Online. 

Error 310 is when the login request is placed until the users update their login information in QuickBooks Online, so the bank cannot lock the account. What is QuickBooks Error 103?  

Before we dive in, it’s important to familiarize yourself with QuickBooks Error Codes 103 and 310. QuickBooks Error 103 usually occurs when you log into QuickBooks Online and the information you provided does not match the information on the website. from a financial institution. This particular error tells you that QuickBooks is no longer accepting your login request. It also indicates that the login process has been terminated as the user updates their login information with  QuickBooks Online, which also prevents the bank from locking the account. Below are instructions for solving bank error codes 103 and 310. To systematically correct these errors, follow all the steps in the series. 

Solution 1: 

  • First, click the Confirm Credentials link in the error message. In another window, the bank’s website opens, where users can re-enter their login details. Do not autofill the entries, but enter the username and password manually. 
  • Then log out of the banking website. 
  • After that, return to QuickBooks Online and re-enter the same username and password in the same format as required by the bank. 
  • Now click on Update login details.

Note. If users don’t see the link, check your login information, and try updating your account in QuickBooks Online.

  • In the upper right corner
  • Click on the Update button.
  • Run at least three updates during the non-peak hours.
  • Users should make sure that they are connected to the correct URL of the bank account otherwise when they click on Verify your 
  • Credentials linked to the bank website might not come or they will not be able to successfully log into their account. The users can also try to verify the bank connection by finding the bank’s login web page URL or the URL after they log into their bank accounts.
  • Try finding the bank using the URL used outside of QuickBooks Online to log into the bank account and once you get it copy it.
  • In case users are not successful, they can find the banks using the URL after having logged into their account. However, a few extensions like the slash (/) need to be removed from the URL. This will help in finding the correct website.

Solution 2: 

Important To resolve error 310, users should check if the bank’s website accepts the username and password they are using. 

Follow the given instructions: 

  • Select Banking from the left menu. 
  • Click the pencil icon for the account. 
  • Click the Edit login details button. 
  • Then click on the bank website link at the top of the page 
  • After that, a new window will open on the bank’s website. Users must ensure that they have access to their account through this website and must also confirm that they can find the account information without errors. 

Note. If the credentials are accepted, the account must be updated manually. If the problem persists and errors 103 and 310 are not resolved, contact customer service using the information below. 

  • The name of the financial institution used. 
  • The name of the bank selected during account creation. The website link is used to connect the user and the bank outside of QuickBooks Online where the URL was successfully logged in. 
  • The type of account to link, e.g. business, personal, cash, administrative, etc. 
  • The displayed error code is 103 or 310.
